Warranty & returns
Ivor Nel, trading as TI Security and Automation, provides a warranty on behalf of the manufacturer for the original purchasers, which lasts for two (2) years unless stated otherwise. This warranty begins from the date of purchase, not the installation date. The manufacturer guarantees that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, provided that installation follows the manufacturerβs specifications.
All remote controls come with a 6-month warranty, including an additional 3 months of coverage for batteries. During the warranty period, TI Security and Automation will either repair or replace any defective product upon its return to 99 OnEtaunga Road, Chatswood, Auckland. Any replacement or repaired parts sent by TI Security and Automation will be warranted for the remaining duration of the original warranty or for ninety (90) days, whichever is longer. Replacement parts will only be sent after the original parts have been returned.
The original owner must notify TI Security and Automation in writing via email at admin@tisecurityandautomation.co.nz if they encounter any issues with the materials or workmanship. You'll need to receive this written notice before the warranty expiration. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that TI Security and Automation has received this notification.
Just so you know, any service calls for installations performed by third parties will be charged at our standard hourly rate.
The Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) primarily focuses on ensuring products and services meet certain guarantees, such as being of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and as described. It doesn't cover situations where you change your mind about a purchase.
